Restaurant Fixed Seating

Fixed seating is a major part in design schemes for many restaurants, bars, bistros and cafes. By adding fixed seating you automatically create a feature seating area in your establishment and provides the opportunity to be creative with fabrics and colours.

Spiro Designs specialises in the design and manufacture of fixed seating and below we have offered advice as to how we work from concept to completion. We work with both clients who own restaurants, bars and cafes and also with architects, specifiers, interior designers and shop fitters.

Most restaurant and bar owners who contact us want to include some form of fixed bench seating, but do not know how to go about getting exactly what they are looking for.

As a starting point we will just ask for some very basic details to enable us to provide a quotation. This would include approximate dimensions, where the fixed seating will be situated, is it up against a wall or will the back of the seating be visible. We will also discuss general styles and the type of fabric that is required to upholster the fixed seating. We work closely with some great contract fabric companies such as Sekers Fabrics, Sunbury Designs and Agua Fabrics who all offer a wide range of plain and patterned fabrics along with a great collection of faux leathers and also International Leather Products (ILP) who have an extensive collection of genuine leathers. If you have a specific fabric that you want to use, we are  happy to upholster your fixed seating in your own material and we will advise you the quantity that is required.

Once you have received the quotation and want to proceed, we will come out to take exact site measurements of the area where the seating will be going. Decisions will need to be made at this point as to exact finished height of the back of the seating and the seat height, what colour and finish the kickboard/plinth under the seating will be, if there are any exposed ends that need finishing and the style that is required. View examples of some of the fixed seating we have manufactured for clients.

At this point we start manufacturing. Most of the work will be carried out in the work shop and then the fixed seating is finished off on site when we come to install it at your restaurant, bar or bistro.

Normally our lead time is four weeks from date of order, but this may vary depending on both the quantity of fixed seating required and what other orders we may be producing at the time. However, we do try our utmost to accommodate clients lead times.

When working with Architects and Designers we are usually provided with drawings and specifications that enables us to provide the initial quotation. These projects are usually quite large and sometimes very different so we can produce computer generated renders so that clients can see an image of the final fixed seating.
