The colour for 2014 has been revealed
8th Jan 2014
Pantone is known worldwide for its authority in colours. They provide colour systems and technologies so that there is an accurate communication throughout all industries, in particular furniture and interior design. The also make predictions and announcements on what the colours and trends will be for the year. Recently, they have made such announcement and had outlined that the colour for 2014 is Radiant Orchid (Pantone 18-3224). For those who don’t know what this colour looks like, take a look below:
At Spiro Designs, as we specialise in bespoke manufacturing of banquette seating, tub chairs & sofas and many other of furniture products, we can build to your specifications and incorporate the colours which you desire. If it’s time for a change, you might want to consider this beautiful Radian Orchid.
It’s an eye catching colour which will go very well with olive and deeper greens and offer a stunning combination when set with light yellows, teal or even turquoise. This means, with some of our furniture, there does not need to be one solid colour and you can mix and match to suit your requirements. As this colour is so vibrant, you can already apply it with other colours such as greys, beige and taupe to create a fresh look – something ideal if you want to give a refreshing look for 2014. What fabrics can be made with this colour?
Our 2 main types of fabrics we use for furniture is contract vinyl and leather. Leather is a very durable, strong hardwearing fabric but it can be limited in colour selection. This is where contract vinyl comes into its element as it can be made available in practically any colour and with new manufacturing techniques; contract vinyl is considered a strong material and has improved massively over the years. That is why we use it a lot for our clients and would recommend it to anyone looking for a custom colour for their furniture.
Can this be applied to any piece of furniture?
95% of our furniture can be customised down to every last detail, but to be on the safe side, contact us and ask us as more than likely, the answer will be yes. Wherever there is fabric, customisation is available, and in the case of our products, that’s almost everything!
